My PERM case was filed on mid-May and got audited on May 28.

Yes, just as InTheMoment has said H1 option does exist, but chances are more with EAD.
It�s not like we switching jobs. Good univ, good program and good place go a long way in there career. To spend 3-5 years in a residency and another 2 years in a fellowship program, I think one has to be serious about what they choose.
Note like we got a rank and have to take-up what ever is offered.
EAD for H4 would have been the best things to happen, at least in light providing the same for L1.

Last year in March end I had an opportunity to go for business trip to Frankfurt, it was technical conference of my company. Just 5 days before the due date, my H1 was to expire. Thanks to this moron in my HR, the whole H1 renenwal was delayed to just 2 weeks before expiry. We paid extra to expedite the H1 renewal, fixed Visa stamping/interview apointment at Ottawa, ON same week as we applied for visa renewal. In-fact I had apointments paid for two consecutive days(friday and monday), just in-case the documents do not arrive on time. And they didn't ( aka Murphy Law) till saturday. So headed out on Sunday to Ottawa from MI. arrived Monday morning, got the visa extended next day. Arrived back in office on Wednesday morning, sent all the documents to Chicago consulate office, with same day delivery. Anxiously awaited to hear-back till Tursday afternoon. Started frantically calling consulate office on Friday Morning. Believe it or not someone did returnback my repeated calls and complained about why I was calling everyone in office and in future try to send application atleast 1-2 weeks before travel. My flight was booked for Saturday 3:00 pm in afternoon and believe it or not I collected my passport with visa at noon!!!:rolleyes:
P.S: Trip was great and in-fact also got chance to visit Paris!!!:cool:

Company A sponsored my GC (PERM & 140 Approved) and soon after 180 day wait period had passed, I moved to company B and started working on EAD.
Now, company B is going to be merged with Company C. Then what will be my status? Do I need to do any thing to keep my GC process alive?

I have a question regarding filing the I-140 application. Can I use experience gained in my current job on my I-140 application. When my lawyer filed my application he stated that the applicant needed an undergrad degree and two years of work experience. I had two years worth of work experience in my current company when my application was filed with the department of labor.
My lawyer said that I can use experience gained in my current job prior to my labor being filed. Is this correct or is he giving me the short end of the stick ? I would appreciate any help you can provide me.

Did you get back the documents from USCIS ? I too have done similar mistake sending the applications 2 days in advance. Not sure when would I get the application back.

Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. We shouldn't be helping Lou dobb's kind of guys to boost his ratings. I decided to stay away from that chap!! and CNN. I know many of my friends regulary watch CNN and I advised everyone to switch to other channel..what u guys think. Once again congts all.. sleep well and enjoy..

If I go for appointment and they put case under PIMS review as I just got ext approval last months. Will they take passport with them ? if Not can I travel with passport and ask to close case of stamping ?
I read in IV forums that few ppl had sent their 797 copy to kentucky center asking to check in to PIMS, you ca ntry that.
Ya they will take ur passport, if you request to release you need to basically cancel stamping and use ur EAD/AP to enter back but that will make you in to parolee status.
Please do post your experience after you go for stamping.

Mine also moved from NSC to TSC in July 2009. I applied I-485 from CA and moved to OH in 2008. But still OH and CA falls under NSC.
The reason for the transfer might be my I-140 was filed in TSC.
